About Sue
Sue Benes is the Library Media Specialist at D.C. Everest School District for Rothschild and Hatley Elementary. I collaborate with teachers in grades K-5 in both buildings. As a Technology Mentor for the District, I lead workshops, trainings, and presentations. My first presentation session at WEMTA was in 2012 and again in 2013. In addition, I am an adjunct professor at Northcentral Technical College in Wausau on iPad and Google training. Prior to being a Librarian, I taught Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade over the course of 8 years.
When I'm not a "librarian", I enjoy my husband and two children along with our big gardens, apple orchards, beehives, and chickens. As a family, we enjoy canoeing and spending time together.
In my "quiet" time, I enjoy taking walks, reading books on my Kindle, playing the many apps available on my iPad, walking through stores, and listening to music.

Sarah Merz is currently a 3rd grade classroom teacher at D.C. Everest School District for Rothschild Elementary. I am a district trainer in Understanding by Design (UbD), a 21st Century Classroom teacher, and a district curriculum designer and writer in English Language Arts and content area courses. Outside of teaching, I love to hang out with my two boys and take in life's adventures! We are a family that enjoys gardening, camping, traveling, and visiting with family and friends.
My guilty pleasures include surfing Pinterest (I'm secretly addicted...), buying the daily deals for my Kindle so I can build the huge library that I've always dreamed of (to bad it's online!!), surfing Web 2.0 tools (there's always something new and I like to keep on top of the tidal wave), and READING!
