Kindergarten
Skitch - Mrs. Harvanek's class was learning about specific parts of the body. Here, the student had her picture taken, she drew parts of the body and where you would find them and then labeled the parts. She then shared her pictures with her class.
A Forgotten Moment - Have you ever had something really cool and exciting happen only to realize that you didn't take any pictures?! That happened to Mrs. Hazaert's class this winter. The students were learning about adventure stories and our school has a great wooded area with a learning place right in the middle! The students took an adventure through the deep snow and the newly created walking "path". When we got to the benches and teaching area, Mrs. Benes read the students the story "The Secret Shortcut" by Mark Teague. Afterwards, the students looked for "hidden" things that didn't belong in the woods and created an adventure in our words. It was a great adventure and a lot of fun....too bad we forgot the camera!
